diiVe Cape Town is one integrated seven-week consulting internship. Weeks 1 and 2 take place remotely and focus on professional preparation and development. You will build foundations in consulting, problem solving, professional communication, research, analysis, digital tools, teamwork and career readiness. Weeks 3 to 7 take place in Cape Town. You will meet your client project team, work on a real organizational challenge and develop evidence-based recommendations to present to the client.

Accepted students may apply for needs-based diiVe Financial Aid covering up to 30% of tuition. Full-tuition diiVe Scholarships, university funding and payment plans may also be available, depending on eligibility and individual circumstances.

anyway?
Consulting is a structured way of helping an organization understand a challenge and make better decisions. At diiVe, students work with purpose-driven clients across different sectors. You will learn to ask strong questions, conduct research, analyze evidence, consider different perspectives and communicate practical recommendations.
The goal is not simply to prepare you for a consulting career. It is to help you build transferable skills that can support many different future paths.

UTTE exists to develop more inclusive, dignified, and sustainable urban living environments in South Africa. The organisation aims to address systemic housing inequality by creating development models that improve living conditions, strengthen communities, and expand access to affordable and resilient housing solutions.
UTTE is seeking support in exploring and testing a scalable blended financing model for inclusive urban development through the Empower IY Community Development project as the prototype case study. Using the Empower IY development in Imizamo Yethu, Hout Bay as the central case study, the team will be asked to explore how inclusive and community-driven urban development projects can be financed in a way that is both socio-economically sustainable and scalable over time.
Using the Empower IY Community Development project as a case study, students explored and tested a scalable blended-financing model to support more inclusive urban development and deliver meaningful social and environmental impact.

The Shared Value Africa Initiative (SVAI) is a pan-African organisation and the regional partner of the global Shared Value Initiative business network that are drawn together through a common purpose: to assist and collaborate with organisations to create Shared Value and build prosperous and sustainable economies and societies through focussing on Profit with Purpose.
Develop a risk assessment tool that will aid businesses wishing to become gender - responsive in identifying hazards within the workplace that pose a threat to the physical and psychological wellbeing of gender minority employees. In addition to hazard identification, the tool will serve as a financial guide with regards to the costs inflicted on businesses should GBV incidents within a company remain unaddressed.
The team compiled a hazard identification map with 3 broad categories (physical environment, industry, organizational) and developed a scoring system based on how risky they are for physical/psychological/structural WVH. Then made a risk assessment tool that breaks down potential costs for each type of WVH. Costs were sorted into HR, legal, reputational and operational types.
The V&A Waterfront is among the premier tourist destinations and leading retail, commercial, residential and marine spaces on the African continent with a mission to manage and connect its neighborhood and societal stakeholders for the benefit of all.
Assist in scoping and assessing the economic viability, partnership, and physical space of a blue economy innovation hub (aka, Ocean Cluster House) at the V&A Waterfront.

Students stay together in safe, centrally located, fully furnished shared housing. Wi-Fi, utilities and linen are included. Laundry is not included.
Housing is included from 18 June to 25 July 2027. Students who remain in Cape Town after 25 July must arrange and pay for their own accommodation.
During Weeks 3 to 7, students work from Workshop17 at the V&A Waterfront. This professional coworking environment places students alongside entrepreneurs, organizations and teams working across different sectors.
Yes. At the end of the internship, the client will provide a reference letter for the project team.
diiVe Cape Town is a full-time seven-week internship.
Weeks 1 and 2 take place remotely from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET. Weeks 3 to 7 take place in person in Cape Town from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. SAST.
Participants are expected to attend required sessions and contribute consistently to their teams. You should not plan another internship, full-time job or intensive summer course alongside diiVe.
Tuition includes the seven-week internship, professional development, client project work, project mentorship, shared fully furnished housing from 18 June to 25 July, Wi-Fi, utilities, linen, airport transfers, scheduled cohort experiences and 24/7 student support while in Cape Town.
Flights, food, laundry, daily spending money, personal activities, visas, insurance and accommodation after 25 July are not included.
