Remote Summer 2027
diiVe Remote is a fully online, 7-week consulting internship for undergraduate students. Participants build practical professional skills through structured development, global teamwork and real client work.
During the internship, you will work in a diverse team on a real challenge for a purpose-driven client. Your team will research the client and its sector, analyze evidence, develop practical recommendations and present its work.
This is a full-time program.
Weeks 1 and 2 run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET.
During Weeks 3 to 7, required collaborative hours run from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET. Students should also plan approximately three to four flexible hours on each program day for individual research, analysis and deliverables.
diiVe requires a full-time commitment. Students should not plan another internship, full-time job or intensive summer course alongside the program.
Weeks 1 - 2: Live online consulting training facilitated by consultants and business experts.
Weeks 3 - 7: Students work in teams and are matched with a real client. This phase includes daily team meetings, weekly training sessions and seminars, weekly client meetings, stakeholder interviews, research and analysis, and a final client presentation.
Yes. Each project team is supported by a mentor who provides structure, feedback and guidance throughout the client project. Students also receive support from the diiVe team through workshops, check-ins and professional development activities.
No, diiVe has only Summer and Winter Internship opportunities. Throughout the program, we provide diiVers with professional coaching and exposure to career opportunities in the consulting world and beyond to help them better define their purpose and career direction. We also will have broader discussions and learning opportunities with the entire diiVe cohort to promote relationship-building, and connection. We also conduct a case study review session for those students interested in applying for the big consulting houses.
diiVe Remote combines real client work, practical professional development and global digital collaboration. You will build transferable skills in research, analysis, problem solving, professional communication, presenting and teamwork while learning how distributed teams coordinate and deliver professional work.
diiVe Remote runs from 7 June to 23 July 2027. Tuition is US$2,940.
Tuition includes the 7-week remote consulting internship, professional preparation and development, real client project work, live workshops and seminars, project mentorship, consulting case preparation, career development, résumé support, a client team reference letter and lifetime access to the diiVe alumni community.
The first stage is a written application that takes approximately 30 minutes. Applicants selected to progress are invited to a 30-minute behavioral interview.
The first application window closes on 11 December 2026. Applications are assessed on a rolling basis throughout the window, so students are encouraged to apply early.
A second application window will open in January 2027 and close in March 2027. Exact dates will be published once confirmed.
Weeks 1 and 2 focus on professional preparation and development. Students build foundations in consulting, problem solving, professional communication, research, analysis, storytelling, digital tools, teamwork and career readiness.
The learning is live and interactive and includes both individual and team-based work.

Yes. At the end of the internship, the client will provide a reference letter for the project team. This is a team reference rather than an individual performance reference.

diiVe Cape Town is one integrated 7-week consulting internship for undergraduate students.
Weeks 1 and 2 take place remotely and focus on professional preparation and development. Weeks 3 to 7 take place in Cape Town, where students work in diverse teams on real challenges for purpose-driven clients.
diiVe Cape Town combines real client work, practical professional development, global teamwork and cultural immersion.
You will build transferable skills, contribute to a real client challenge and experience Cape Town as a social, cultural and business context.
The program runs from 7 June to 23 July 2027. Tuition is US$6,050.
Weeks 1 and 2 take place remotely. Students must arrive in Cape Town on 18 June 2027. Included housing ends on 25 July 2027.
Yes. Each project team is supported by a mentor who provides structure, feedback and guidance throughout the client project. Students also receive support from the diiVe team through workshops, check-ins and professional development activities.
Tuition includes the 7-week internship, professional development, client project work, project mentorship, shared fully furnished housing from 18 June to 25 July, Wi-Fi, utilities, linen, airport transfers, scheduled cohort experiences and 24/7 student support while in Cape Town.
Flights, food, laundry, daily spending money, personal activities, visas, insurance and accommodation after 25 July are not included.
Visitors from the United States, United Kingdom and most European countries do not need a VISA for South Africa if they are staying less than 90 days. The full list of passport holders exempt from requiring a VISA for South Africa, can be found here.
diiVe is an intensive full time commitment. We highly discourage students from participating in multiple opportunities/internships/programs. For our consulting training, you’ll complete this remotely and you should expect to dedicate +-6 hours of live sessions per day, split into two 3-hour workshops, with a few additional hours on self-guided learning, reflection and reading.
At the end of week 2 you will then fly to Cape Town and move into diiVe housing with your fellow diiVers. For the 5-week internship you can expect to work an 8 hour day (9am - 5pm SAST), in our HQ, with visits to your client for meetings and presentations. Your evenings and weekends are your own! We will organize some diiVentures for the weekends, or after work drinks. All activities are recommended but remain optional.
You’ll stay in fully furnished lodging in the heart of the city centre, one of Cape Town’s most vibrant and creative districts. With cafés, bars, restaurants, and cultural hotspots right on your doorstep, you’ll be just a short trip from some of the city’s best food, lifestyle, and experiences.
Housing is included in the program fee. All diiVers live together in shared rooms.
Like most global cities, Cape Town is not without safety concerns, however it is important to put the socio-economic context of Cape Town into perspective as diiVers will be living and working in some of the most affluent and safest parts of the city. Nonetheless, we encourage our diiVers to practice a sensible level of vigilance and common sense and be sure to lean on the diiVe team for any queries or concerns as our 24/7 support is in place to ensure you have a safe yet epic experience.
Our offices are a co-working space called Workshop17, at the Watershed, located at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.
diiVe is an education program before all else, with a training program before the internship starts. You are taught by experienced consultants from across the world. Training continues during the internship with ongoing internship training, seminars, and mentoring from the diiVe team. This is not a regular internship, but a guided training experience with real world impact.
Absolutely. The entire program is instructed in English. Also the majority of South Africans speak English, even if it’s not their first language.

The South African Rand. You can buy currency in advance, and make sure you have a credit or debit card that you can access overseas. You will need to inform your bank in advance that you will be using your card in South Africa.
Cape Town has a great bus service called the MyCiti which is super safe, efficient and affordable. For everything else, Uber is a great option. We will arrange private transportation for diiVentures.

Yes. Wi-Fi is included in the student housing and is available at the program workplace. Students should follow the travel guidance provided by diiVe for mobile data and connectivity outside these locations.
Tap water in Cape Town is generally treated for drinking.
Students should follow current local guidance and any health or safety instructions provided by diiVe before and during the program.
June and July fall during Cape Town’s winter. Students should prepare for cool temperatures, rain, wind and changing conditions, as well as occasional clear and sunny days. A detailed packing guide will be provided before arrival.

Students should budget separately for food, daily transport outside included program transport, laundry, personal activities and general spending money.
Individual spending varies significantly, so diiVe provides accepted students with updated budgeting guidance before travel.
Yes. Airport transfers are included. Accepted students will receive detailed arrival and transfer instructions before travelling.

Students are responsible for reviewing current travel-health guidance, ensuring routine vaccinations are up to date and arranging appropriate travel and medical insurance. Accepted students will receive practical pre-arrival guidance from diiVe.
Cape Town participants must arrive on 18 June 2027. Included housing ends on 25 July 2027.
Students should not book non-refundable travel until they have accepted their offer and received the final travel guidance from diiVe. Students remaining in Cape Town after 25 July must arrange and pay for their own accommodation.
Yes, you will need travel insurance, medical and for possessions. We recommend Allianz.
Your family is welcome to visit! Just remember though, you will still be required to work a full working week, during their stay.

Process
Kick-starting your journey with us begins with you completing our simple application form found here . We recommend you carve out 1 hour in order to adequately complete this application form. The diiVe team will review your online application and then request a 30-minute interview, after which successful applicants will be notified and offered a space on the program.
We encourage a diversity of years, majors and interests to apply to our program to add to the richness of the conversations and learning of the broader cohort. No previous consulting experience is required.
We are looking for a select group of ambitious, aspirational leaders who:
- are currently enrolled at university or are a recent graduate (from any major or discipline)
- are high performing students
- want to develop their consulting, business and entrepreneurial skills
- possess a keen interest in community development or social impact
- have already demonstrated themselves as a young leaders in their community, university, country or organization (e.g. club, forum, committee)
First window applications are now open, and will close on 11 December 2026
Accepted students may apply for needs-based diiVe Financial Aid covering up to 30% of tuition. Financial aid is not guaranteed and depends on assessed need and available funding. The application becomes available after a student receives an offer.
diiVe awards two to three full-tuition scholarships per applicant pool. These scholarships are reserved for African students studying at universities on the African continent.
Payment plans may also be available by arrangement. Students who expect to need a payment plan should contact diiVe before accepting their offer.
